Known from the Da Teh catchment of middle Dong Nai drainage in evergreen forest between 140−200 m. Likely to be confined to relatively small stretches of low-elevation forest streams of the middle Dong Nai drainage and thus particularly vulnerable to threats such as siltation and overfishing. Common human activities such as modification of stream morphology, logging, deforestation, agriculture and overfishing in the Da Teh catchment potentially pose threat to its population (Ref. 102622).
